Gosh I think your use of brushstrokes is simply amazing. I like how you don't go in full detail. Also once again a really great scenery drawing. It makes me wonder what the story of the characters are.
I could look at your paintings aaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day and not get bored. just the beautiful colors and strokes and- aaaahhhh..--sighs contentedly-- It just makes me so happy and so jealous at the same time. Do you use Painter?
Oh this is gorgeous, and I love that song and it fits so well! Your work is truly amazing, your use of colour and this splendid mix of modern settings and a sort of early european oil painting style... I can't really put it into words I just really love all of your works.
Yes and no. For something like this I may look at photos to help me with the lighting and for general inspiration. In this case i'm not really concerned about small details of realism, because i'm just trying to capture the impression. Photo reference can actually suck me in to the point of copying, which I try to avoid.
This is amazing! My limited artistic know-how doesn't allow me to make a detailed comment about the pros and cons about it, but I want you to know that I think this is a really great picture and really shows that you are a master of your work.
Thanks! This image was difficult because for a long time it just felt dead. After a few weeks I realized the contrast between light and shadow needed to be stronger. I was also having trouble getting a sense of depth with an empty field of grass. I started mixing in bands of lower saturation colors and alternate hues to break it up.
