Ooooh...I love the atmosphere of this one.   It's...I'm not sure how to describe it.  But who lives there?  And why?
I love that haunted lonely feel you captured!   And that rough painterly feel but it depicts the scenery perfectly.  Nice!

I really love the painterly feel of your work. Something that is for some hard to achieve using a digital medium.

Thanks!  I've found that the painterly look is largely a result of using large brushes, and being very mindful of the balance between hard, soft, and lost edges.

Aannnd another +fav! I just can't stop doing that with your work it seems
As a kid I used to love Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe and the thought of being stranded on an island held this strange fascination ever since. This painting reminded me of that feeling again! Wonderfully done. Loving the color choices, especially around the tree trunks.

:D thanks!  Yeah, there is some strange mystique about being stranded on a lonely island. Perhaps a feeling that all which once mattered in life is completely stripped away, and the sense of freedom that could bring. It could be rather desirable from time to time.

You're so right! Somehow that never even occurred to me, even though now it seems obvious :D It's the same about post-apocalyptic/zombie/etc. settings too I guess!
But yeah, beautiful painting! Happy Christmas btw :D

This is amazing! The lighting is perfectly on cue. Love all the mystery involved, too. Absolutely beautiful job.
